Research announcement: Camille Claudel & Bernhard Hoetger exhibition

As part of the preparation for the exhibition Camille Claudel & Bernhard Hoetger (12 September 2026 – 4 January 2027), which will include a section dedicated to the sculptures of Camille Claudel and to the four women painters exhibited by the gallerist Eugène Blot in 1908, the Camille Claudel Museum is seeking any information related to the following artists:

  • Marie-Denise Devore-Chirade (1865–1954), also known under her married name Mme Gaston Devore – pastellist
  • Jeanne Éliot (1861–1937) – painter
  • Irène Reno (1884–1953), also known under her married name Mme Alcide Lebeau-Hassenberg – painter, lithographer and draughtswoman
  • Ann (or Annette) Osterlind (1882–1954) – painter and draughtswoman

The museum would be especially grateful to anyone who may have information regarding works produced by these artists around the year 1900 or earlier, and kindly asks them to contact: communication@museecamilleclaudel.fr
