Double vandalism on Place de la Concorde

Among the many violent incidents that accompanied PSG’s victory in the Champions League semi-final last Wednesday, one in particular attracted considerable attention: the ransacking, on Place de la Concorde, of Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s exhibition on the theme of “Living together” (sic).
There is no need to dwell further on the horde of brainless individuals who created an atmosphere of insurrection in Paris. But if we focus solely on Place de la Concorde, one fact must be noted: their vandalism merely added — violence on top of it, naturally — to another form of vandalism. That of the exhibition itself (ill. 1 and 2), supported by the government (the Ministry of Labour and Solidarity), the City of Paris, and several private partners and patrons.
