For the first time, in our program "L’invité de La Tribune de l’Art" we receive a politician, Pierre Ouzoulias, communist senator of the Hauts-de-Seine, vice-president of the Commission of culture, education and communication in the Senate, but also author of a remarkable report on religious heritage (that you can read here, thus its synthesis).
Pierre Ouzoulias is also a curator, an archaeologist, and he worked in the central administration of the Ministry of Culture. He is therefore perfectly familiar with all the subjects that concern us.
We spoke with him of course about this report and the solutions to save religious heritage, but also about the threats faced by the Architectes des bâtiments de France, the threats to heritage from wind turbines and insulation issues, Notre-Dame, archaeology, the art market and the question of restitutions. With the exception of this last point (and still, we can have points of convergence), the positions of Pierre Ouzoulias on the heritage and the museums are very close to ours.
