14/11/25 - Obituary - The relations between Guy Cogeval and La Tribune de l’Art were complicated. But, despite the criticisms we had addressed to him — notably regarding the paid exhibitions he circulated around the world — it must be acknowledged that Guy Cogeval was a great art historian, and that his acquisitions policy for the Musée d’Orsay was remarkable. His passing at 70, yesterday on 13 November 2025, after several difficult years due to illness, is an occasion to recall his career.
