24/5/25 - Acquisition - Luxembourg, Musée national d’archéologie, d’histoire et d’art - This anonymous painting, presented as a work from the early 17th-century Dutch school, was sold for $60,000 at Sotheby’s in New York on 6 February and acquired by the Musée national d’archéologie, d’histoire et d’art (MNAHA) in Luxembourg. Already sold in Cologne in 2014, it was then attributed to Jan Miel. Curator Ruud Priem, director of the fine arts department at the MNAHA, now suggests attributing it to Hendrick Bloemaert, son of the famous Abraham Bloemaert.
