29/1/26 - Acquisition - Perpignan, Musée d’art Hyacinthe Rigaud - The Hyacinthe Rigaud Museum has just expanded its collections with a previously unseen portrait of the painter Étienne Terrus by Maximilien Luce. Acquired from the Talabardon & Gautier gallery in Paris, with the help of the Heritage Fund and the association of Friends of the Rigaud Museum (Cercle Rigaud), the canvas has been placed in the permanent exhibition room dedicated to the Occitan painter, who will also be the subject of a monographic exhibition in this space next fall. It further enriches the collection dedicated to artists straddling Parisian art networks and the Midi pictural scene, of which Georges Daniel de Monfreid has also been prominently featured in recent years (see the article).
