A portrait of Khnopff on display at the Metropolitan

15/4/25 - Hanging - New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Her cherubic face has retained the innocence of childhood, but her pose is already that of an adult. The portrait of Yvonne Suys painted by Fernand Khnopff has recently been acquired by the Metropolitan Museum (ill. 1). Remaining in the family until it was put up for sale by Millon in 2024, it was acquired by The Hearn Family Foundation and loaned to the New York museum [1].
