All the versions of this article: English , français

27/9/24 - Acquisition - Munich, Pinakothek der Moderne - Picasso’s Woman with a Violin has long been in private hands in Germany, and has been on loan to Munich’s Pinakothek der Moderne since 2014. Today, it joins the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen (Bavarian State Painting Collections). Initiated in 2022, this major acquisition project has finally come to fruition thanks to the collaboration of several public institutions and private patrons: the Free State of Bavaria, the Federal Ministry of Culture, the Länder Cultural Foundation, the Ernst von Siemens Foundation, the Würth Group and donor Fritz Schäfer.
