18/3/25 - Acquisition - Pont-Aven, Musée de Pont-Aven - While Gad Frederik Clement’s large pastel had been able to hold the interest of the Breton museum during its exhibition at TEFAF in 2024, the beautiful catalogue that Agnews Brussels devoted exclusively to the Pont-Aven school in October of the same year could only rekindle the interest of the Pont-Aven teams, who took the opportunity to acquire one of the most interesting sheets from the selection made by the dealer Eric Gillis. Thus a superb Synthetist drawing by Jan Verkade (ill. 1) has joined the pastel that we mentioned recently (see the news item of 5/3/25), with which it has much in common.
